The White Sox try to avoid their third losing streak this month of at least four games when they continue their weekend home series with the Cubs on Saturday afternoon.

Glavine (5-5, 4.67 ERA) has been stuck on 295 career victories since May 19, going 0-4 with a 7.31 ERA in his last five starts for New York (38-32).

Things have not gone well for the Chicago White Sox since they last met their city rival.

The White Sox (29-39) open a three-game interleague set on Friday night at U.S. Cellular Field against the Chicago Cubs (32-39) in a matchup of struggling teams.

On May 18, the White Sox were three games over .500 and just 3 1/2 games behind AL Central-leading Cleveland.
