According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Tigers are the favorite at home, as they have odds of -150 to win, while the Red Sox have a money line of +140 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7.5 runs.

The Red Sox were able to tie the series at 1-1 thanks to a miraculous 6-5 win over Detroit in Game 2. The Red Sox trailed 5-0 in the game and 5-1 entering the eighth before David Ortiz hit a grand slam to tie the game. Boston would win on a walk-off single in the ninth.
