Game 1 of the ALCS features the Boston Red Sox hosting the Detroit Tigers at 8PM ET (View Matchup). The Tigers are sending Anibal Sanchez to the mound to face Jon Lester of the Red Sox. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Red Sox are the favorite at home, as they have odds of -135 to win Game 1, while Detroit has a money line of +125 to win the contest. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7.5 runs.

Boston is now 100-66 overall and 55-28 at home while Detroit is 96-71 overall and 44-40 on the road. These two teams faced off seven times during the regular season, with Detroit winning four of the seven matchups. The home team won five of the seven games and Boston won the last two encounters. These two also hit the over in four of their last six games.
