The lone game of the day is a Game 5 in the ALDS with the Oakland Athletics hosting the Detroit Tigers at 8PM ET (View Matchup) with the series tied 2-2. The Athletics are sending Sonny Gray to the mound to face Justin Verlander of the Tigers. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Tigers are favored on the road, as they have odds of -120 to win, while the Athletics have a money line of +110 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7 runs.

Detroit won Game 4, 8-6, to force a Game 5 tonight. These two pitchers met in Game 2 and combined for 15 scoreless inning of pitching, with the Athletics eventually getting a 1-0 win in the ninth.
