Wednesday's MLB Playoff Odds


(TheSpread) – Major League Baseball has a full set of four playoff games taking place on Wednesday. Here is a look at the odds and pitching matchups for each game.

In the American League, the featured game has the New York Yankees hosting the Baltimore Orioles at 7:35 PMET (View Matchup) in Game 3 of their ALDS series. The series is tied 1-1. New York will send Hiroki Kuroda to the mound to face Miguel Gonzlaez of the Orioles. According to oddsmakers at, the Yankees are the clear favorite to win this game, as they have odds of -170, while the Orioles have a money line of +160. The over/under total has been set at 8.5 runs. New York is 96-68 overall and 51-30 at home while Baltimore is 95-70 overall and 47-35 on the road. The Orioles won the last time both these men took the mound to face each other.

In the National League, the featured game has the Washington Nationals hosting the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:35PM ET (View Matchup) in Game 3 of their series. The series is tied 1-1 entering the contest. Washington has Edwin Jackson on the mound to face Chris Carpenter of the Cardinals. According to oddsmakers, each team has odds of -105 to win, while the over/under total has been set at 7.5 runs. Washington is 99-65 overall and 50-31 at home while St. Louis is 90-75 overall and 39-43 on the road. Carpenter hasn’t faced the Nationals this year while Jackson is 1-1 against the Cardinals.
