Wednesday's MLB Playoff Odds

The lone game of the day is a Game 5 in the NLDS with the St. Louis Cardinals hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates at 8PM ET (View Matchup) with the series tied 2-2. The Cardinals have Adam Wainwright on the mound to face Gerrit Cole of the Pirates. According to oddsmakers at, the Cardinals are favored at home, as they have odds of -150 to win, while the Pirates have a money line of +140. The over/under total for the game has been set at 6.5 runs.

The Cardinals won Game 1, 9-1, but then the Pirates won the next two games by a combined score of 12-4. The Cardinals bounced back in Game 4 with a 2-1 victory. St. Louis has actually won six of its last eight against Pittsburgh and the two have hit the over in seven of their last nine meetings.
