Rays vs. Yankees Game 3 Prediction
The Yankees’ pitching failed them in Game 2 on Tuesday night against the Rays but they’ll send Masahiro Tanaka to the hill on Wednesday night for Game 3 of this AL Divisional round series. Will Tanaka get the Yanks back on the right track with a win?

Austin Meadows homered Tuesday in the Rays’ ALDS Game 2 win over the Yankees. Meadows served as the Rays’ leadoff man in this one after being limited to pinch-hitting duties in ALDS Game 1 and missing the entire Wild Card Series round because of an oblique strain. He had two flyouts and a walk over his first three plate appearances Tuesday before going yard to dead center off Jonathan Loaisiga in the bottom of the sixth inning. If the 25-year-old outfielder can continue to shake off the rust from his mostly-lost 2020 regular season, he could play a huge role in the Rays going on a deep October run.
New York Yankees DFS Spin
Giancarlo Stanton slugged two home runs in the Yankees’ ALDS Game 2 loss Tuesday versus the Rays. Stanton swatted an opposite-field liner in the top of the second inning that snuck over the right field fence for a solo shot and then unloaded on a two-run blast in the top of the fourth that sailed a projected 458 feet with an exit velocity of 118.3 mph. It was the hardest-hit postseason homer tracked by Statcast since its inception in 2015. Stanton tallied just four home runs during an injury-riddled 2020 regular season, but he is already up to five home runs through four games in these 2020 playoffs. He joins Juan Gonzalez (1996) as the only two players in MLB history to record five homers over the first four postseason games in a single year.
Rays vs. Yankees Game 3 Betting Prediction
The over is now 9-3 in the Yankees’ last 12 games versus a right-handed starter, is 4-1 in their last five games when listed as a favorite and is 4-0 in their last four games overall. On the other side, the over is 4-1 in the Rays’ last five games when their opponent scores five runs or more in their previous game, is 3-1-1 in their last five playoff games and is 14-4-1 in their last 19 games when playing the third game of a series.
