Friday's MLB Playoff Odds


(TheSpread) – The MLB Playoffs have a full set of four games taking place on Friday. Here is a look at the odds and pitching matchups for all four games.

The featured game of the day has the Oakland Athletics hosting the Detroit Tigers at 9:30PM ET in Game 1 of their series (View Matchup). The Athletics have Bartolo Colon on the mound to face Max Scherzer of the Tigers. According to oddsmakers at, the Tigers are favored on the road, as they have odds of -121 to prevail. The Athletics have a money line of +112 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 6.5 runs. The Tigers were 93-69 on the season and 42-39 on the road while Oakland was 96-66 overall and 52-29 at home. Oakland won four of the seven meetings with Detroit this season, including three of the last four. These two have hit the over in six straight meetings.

The other featured game on Friday has the St. Louis Cardinals hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates at 1PM ET in Game 2 of their series (View Matchup), with St. Louis leading the series, 1-0. The Cardinals have Lance Lynn on the mound to face Gerrit Cole of the Pirates. According to oddsmakers, the Cardinals are favored at home, as they have odds of -130 to win, while the Pirates have a money line of +120 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7 runs. The Cardinals won the opening game of the series, 9-1. St. Louis has now won five straight over Pittsburgh and the two have hit the over in five of their last six meetings.
