White Sox vs. A’s Game 2 Prediction
Thanks to Lucas Giolito, the White Sox took Game 1 of their Wild Card series versus the A’s yesterday but will Chicago win Game 2 behind veteran Dallas Keuchel or will Oakland force a Game 3? First pitch is set for 3:10 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

MLB Postseason, Wild Card Round
Chicago White Sox DFS Spin
Adam Engel homered and doubled Tuesday in the win over the A’s. Engel went from hitting .215/.271/.330 in his first three seasons with the White Sox to putting up a .295/.333/.477 line in 93 plate appearances this season. He normally started against lefties, but he actually hit righties better this year. As awful as Nomar Mazara has been, it should be worth it for the White Sox to keep using Engel against righties. Even if he doesn’t hit, he’s certainly an upgrade defensively. Of course, the team can use both if Eloy Jimenez remains sidelined.
Oakland A’s DFS Spin
Matt Olson struck out three times and hit a foul popout in his four at-bats Tuesday against the White Sox. Olson had 14 homers, 42 RBI and 34 walks during the regular season, so it wasn’t all bad. Still, he’s been a strikeout machine for five weeks now, having fanned 51 times in his last 126 plate appearances. The A’s don’t have Matt Chapman and they’ve given up on Khris Davis against righties, so they’re quite limited in the power department with Olson struggling.
White Sox vs. A’s Betting Prediction
The White Sox have now won 13 of their last 17 playoff games following yesterday’s 4-1 victory over the A’s, who are just 1-5 in their last six home playoff games and are winless at 0-6 in their last six postseason matchups overall. Chicago has also taken six of its last seven games when playing the second game of a series and is 7-2 in its last nine road postseason matchups as well.
MLB POSTSEASON BETTING PREDICTION: CHICAGO WHITE SOX +105
