Bryce Harper is being evaluated for lower back stiffness. Harper made an early exit from Sunday’s series finale against the Blue Jays after looking uncomfortable in the outfield and at the plate. “He’ll get a lot of treatment and we’ll cross our fingers,” Phillies manager Joe Girardi said after the game. There should be an update on Harper sometime Monday afternoon or evening.
Washington Nationals DFS Spin
Kurt Suzuki homered and drove in three while going 2-for-4 on Sunday in a blowout win in game two of a doubleheader on Sunday over the Marlins. Suzuki doubled in two runs in the first, and then clobbered a solo homer in the third inning to extend Washington’s lead to 4-0. The Nationals would go on to score 11 more runs without giving any up. The 36-year-old remains a steady — if unspectacular — backstop performer, and with a week to go, Suzuki is slashing .276/.351/418 with a a pair of homers and 16 RBI in 29 games. He’ll be a free agent at the end of the 2020 season.
