SAN FRANCISCO: The Giants have been putrid following wins, dropping 14 of 17 games after winning the previous night. They’ve also struggled against left-handed starters, going 1-5 in their last six road games versus lefties and 1-5 in their last six games overall when facing left-handers. To top it all off, the Giants are just 2-6 in their last eight road games when they face an opponent with a losing record.

COLORADO: The Rockies haven’t been a very good play for bettors when De La Rosa takes the mound. They’re 1-5 in De La Rosa’s last six starts coming off four days of rest and are winless at 0-7 in his last seven starts on Wednesday. Just like San Francisco has struggled versus left-handers, Colorado has been inept recently versus right-handed starters. The Rockies are 0-4 in their last four games versus a team that starts a right-hander that night.

OUR PICK: For one reason or another, the Rockies have been a good play when De La Rosa faces the Giants. De La Rosa is 11-7 in his career against the Giants, posting a 1-1 record in three meetings this season. He struck out seven in 6 2/3 innings of an 11-6 win on April 14 but suffered a loss on July 6. In that July 6 outing, however, De La Rosa allowed just three runs in seven innings so it’s not as if he pitched poorly.
