Bet Tonight’s Giants vs. Dodgers Game
SAN FRANCISCO: Cueto pitched seven strong innings of one-run ball in the Giants’ 8-1 victory over the Mets on Friday. He had a 5.55 ERA over his last four starts but he rebounded nicely. He struck out only two batters but he didn’t walk anyone and relied on the Giants’ steady defense to record outs against a weak New York lineup.
LOS ANGELES: Hill will make his debut for the Dodgers at long last. Acquired from the A’s at the trade deadline, Hill has been sidelined due to a nasty blister. He has been outstanding this season, posting a 2.25 ERA over 14 starts. With the Dodgers now in first place in the NL West and Clayton Kershaw out indefinitely, Hill will need to pitch as well in Los Angeles as he did in Oakland if the club is going to hold off the Giants to win the division.

OUR PICK: The Giants are 11-2 in Cueto’s last 13 road starts and are 8-2 in his last 10 outings versus National League West opponents. They’ve also won 16 of Cueto’s last 21 starts, are 4-0 in his last four road outings versus a team with a winning record, and are 11-1 in his last 12 starts coming off four days of rest. After Madison Bumgarner was shelled for a second straight start last night, the Giants need a strong outing from Cueto. They should get it tonight.
