Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
Nolan Arenado went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI as the Rockies edged the Marlins 7-6 in 10 innings Sunday. Arenado got the Rockies on the board in the first inning when he shot a Jordan Yamamoto pitch to right-center field for a solo homer. He then gave his club the lead in the eighth inning when he yanked an Austin Brice offering into the first row of seats in left field. After hitting just two homers in July, the third baseman has been on a homer binge in August, with eight homers this month after Sunday’s double dip. The 28-year-old is now hitting .302/.362/.556 with 30 homers, 94 RBI and 80 runs scored overall.
Arizona Diamondbacks Fantasy Spin
David Peralta hit his 12th home run of the season in Sunday’s win over the Giants. Peralta hit one of the quicker homers you’ll see this year, lining a Fernando Abad delivery over the wall in right field. He hit it 111 mph and the ball had just a 16 degree launch angle. The homer was Peralta’s 12th in 96 games this year as injury has hampered his production and cut into his playing time. The 32-year-old is hitting .272/.342/.455 with 55 RBI and 46 runs scored through Sunday’s game.
MLB Betting Trends
