Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Spin
Joey Votto reached base in three of his four plate appearances Tuesday against the Nationals. He singled twice and walked after reaching base four times in the first game of the series on Monday. As has often been the case with Votto this season, though, even when he is getting on base it just hasn’t come with a lot of damage.
Washington Nationals Fantasy Spin
Juan Soto smacked a solo home run versus the Reds in his return to the lineup on Tuesday. Soto missed just one game with what had looked like could be a serious ankle injury, and he showed no ill effects in taking Alex Wood deep with a towering blast to right field in the fourth inning. It was one of two solo shots the Nationals hit in the frame, as Brian Dozier also went deep. Soto now has four long balls over his last three games and is up to 25 dingers on the season.
MLB Betting Trends
Cincinnati
The Reds are just 2-5 in their last seven road games and have dropped eight of their last 11 games versus National League East opponents.
Washington
The Nationals have won 41 of Strasburg’s last 60 starts at home and are 81-32 in his last 113 outings overall.
Prediction:
The Nationals are a perfect 4-0 in Strasburg’s last four starts versus the Reds, who are just 6-21 in their last 27 games versus the Nats and are winless at 0-4 in their last four games played at Nationals Park. Washington has also won six of its last eight overall and is 17-8 in its last 25 home games.
The Pick: Washington Nationals -167
