ST. LOUIS, MO (ATS Consultants) – Two struggling clubs fighting for supremacy in the NL Central will square off for game 1 of a new three-game series tonight when the Cardinals host the Pirates at 8:15PM ET.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cardinals are -180 money line favorites over the Pirates, who are +165 on the ML. With Charlie Morton set to face Adam Wainwright in the pitching matchup, the over/under total is currently sitting at 7.5 runs for tonight’s contest.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Pirates opened as +170 money line underdogs but their odds have been bet down to +165, while the Cardinals’ odds have gone from -185 down to -180. Pittsburgh is 70-47 overall and 29-27 on the road, while St. Louis is 67-50 overall and 34-22 at home.

The All-Star is batting .305 with 20 homers and 62 RBI this season.The Cardinals are already playing without catcher Yadier Molina, who injured his knee. St. Louis has been in a tailspin around the same time that Molina got hurt. Expect this to be a low-scoring affair.
