Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Spin
Eugenio Suarez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday’s loss to the Cubs. Suarez rocketed a Jon Lester pitch into the stands in right field in the fifth inning for his 33rd home run of the season. He’s now homered in three straight games and four of his last five. The 28-year-old’s evolution into a full-blown masher became complete a few years ago, but it’s still wild to think about how far he’s come since debuting as a light-hitting Tigers infielder. Suarez is batting .260/.342/.541 with 33 homers, 75 RBI and 64 runs scored in 116 games overall.
Washington Nationals Fantasy Spin
Anthony Rendon went 4-for-5 with two runs scored in Sunday’s 7-4 win over the Mets. Rendon was unable to come through with an extra-base knock in the contest, but he was timing the ball up well regardless. This was the third baseman’s first four-hit showing in what has been a lovely season to date. On the whole, Rendon is hitting an immaculate .320/.404/.607 with 25 home runs, 90 RBI and 84 runs scored across 387 at-bats.
