The Angels are coming off a 7-game home stand against the Orioles and Tigers and managed to go just 2-5 in those seven games. Los Angeles is 56-54 overall, 27-26 on the road and 52-51 with the under. Dillon Peters is taking the mound tonight. He is 2-0 on the season with a 3.06 ERA.
Los Angeles is putting up 5.09 runs per game this season while batting .257 as a team. On the mound, the Angels are posting a 4.88 team ERA with a 1.37 team WHIP. The Indians have one of the league’s top pitching staffs, posting a 3.79 team ERA with a 1.21 team WHIP. At the plate, Cleveland is slowly improving. The Tribe now averages 4.63 runs per game while batting .248 as a team. Carlos Santana is leading the team with 21 doubles, 23 home runs and 60 RBI. Jose Ramirez is adding 23 doubles, 14 home runs, 56 RBI and 22 stolen bases.
MLB Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Angels have won four straight road games, but are 2-8 in their last 10 Friday games.
Cleveland
The Indians are 13-3 in their last 16 games following a loss and 8-3 in their last 11 home games.
Prediction:
Since returning from his latest injury, Clevinger has been really sharp. He has given up just six runs over his last 31 innings. His strikeout numbers are always strong as well. Peters has been pretty good as well, but in a limited amount of work. Four of his six appearances this year have been against Seattle, interestingly enough. I think he is going to have a tough time on the road against a Cleveland team that is trying to make a strong playoff push and riding their ace.
MLB Prediction: Cleveland Indians -225
