Atlanta Braves Fantasy Spin
Ender Inciarte went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday’s loss to the Phillies. The Phillies steamed out to a 6-0 advantage following JT Realmuto’s grand slam in the fifth inning, but the Braves would not go quietly, responding with four runs of their own in the top of the seventh inning. The first three of those touched home on a three-run home run by Inciarte, which Johan Carmago followed with a solo dinger of his own. Despite this flurry of runs to get the Braves back into the game, the Phillies managed to hold steady for a 9-4 win when all was said and done. For his part, Inciarte is now slashing .217/.307/.350 with four home runs, 15 RBI and four steals in 48 games. He was just activated from the injured list on July 18, after a lengthy rehab from a back injury which saw him sidelined from mid-May on. Inciarte is going to need more games like Sunday’s as he tries to remain relevant in the Braves’ outfield. To that effort, he has turned in two-hit showings with home runs in each of the last two contests.
Washington Nationals Fantasy Spin
Victor Robles went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored in the Nationals’ victory over the Dodgers on Sunday. Robles, who was not in the Nationals initial starting lineup, came off the bench to deliver a pair of two-out hits, including a single in the third inning an a triple in the fifth, after Adam Eaton was ejected in the opening frame. He also doubled and scored in the eighth to cap off the impressive three-hit effort. The electrifying 22-year-old outfielder possesses one of the highest power/speed combo ceilings of any hitter in the game. He’s hitting .246/.314/.436 with 57 runs scored, 14 home runs, 46 RBI and 17 stolen bases in 394 plate appearances this season. If he ever truly puts it all together, he’s going to be a five-category fantasy monster.
