ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book, the Rangers are -130 money line favorites over the Angels, who are +120 on the ML. With Jered Weaver set to face Matt Garza in the pitching matchup, the over/under total for this game is currently sitting at 8 runs.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Angels opened as +120 money line underdogs and their odds haven’t changed since that point. As for the Rangers, their odds haven’t budged after they opened as -130 money line favorites. Los Angeles enters play with a 48-55 overall record and is 21-27 on the road this year, while Texas is 56-49 and 29-24 at home.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 57% of the betting public currently favors Texas. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most updated numbers.

MLB FREE PICK: Take the under. According to latest MLB trends, LA Angels are: 2-6 last 8 under bet following a loss and 4-11 last 15 under in Weaver's starts as a road dog. Texas is: 1-6-1 last 8under on grass, 8-25-2 last 35 under after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game and 5-15-2 last 20 under at home vs. a team with a losing road record

You won't find two better right-handers in baseball right now. Jered Weaver (8-5, 2.98 ERA) had some struggles early on but he's been blazing lately, going 4-1 in July. He's allowed fewer than two runs in four of his last five starts. Weaver was simply dominant for the Angels on Wednesday against Minnesota, fanning nine and giving up just two hits in a 1-0 win. Matt Garza (1-0, 0.00) came over from the Cubs to help the Texas rotation and showed why they traded for him as he dominated Minnesota in his first start, allowing one run (unearned) in a 3-1 win. Garza has won his last six starts and pitched at least seven innings in all but one of them. Texas hasn't scored a run in their last 21 innings and now they have to face Weaver. The Angels have lost three straight games and now they have to play the rest of the season without Albert Pujols (.258, 17, 64), who is on the disabled list. This one will be a very low-scoring game.
