Milwaukee Brewers Fantasy Spin
Christian Yelich pounded his league-leading 34th homer Wednesday in Milwaukee’s victory over Atlanta. Dallas Keuchel got the better of Yelich in their first two encounters, striking him out in both the first and third innings, but the reigning MVP had the last laugh, taking the left-hander deep with a sixth-inning solo shot. That homer extended Yelich’s hitting streak to seven games. The Pete Davidson doppelganger is now tied for the major-league lead in home runs and also ranks third in average (.331), third in steals (23) and fourth in RBI (73). Juiced ball or not, few in the sport (maybe just Mike Trout) are doing it better than Yelich right now. Remarkably, 24 of his 34 long balls this year have come at Miller Park.
Arizona Diamondbacks Fantasy Spin
Eduardo Escobar pounded two home runs and plated five RBI as his team whipped the Rangers 19-4 on Wednesday. He took Jesse Chavez yard for a two-run longball in the first inning, then conked a three-run job off Kyle Bird in the sixth. Escobar went 2-for-7 in the contest to boost his triple-slash to .290/.344/.546 with 21 home runs, six triples, 61 runs scored and 75 RBI on the season. He is tied with Mike Trout for third in the major leagues in RBI, trailing only Josh Bell (84) and Cody Bellinger (77).
