(The Spread) - With baseball set to kick off its second half, let's take a look at the current 2013 National League MVP odds.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina is the current favorite at 3/1 to win the 2013 NL MVP award. Arizona first baseman Paul Goldschmidt has the next-best odds at 9/2, while Joey Votto of the Reds is 11/2 and Carlos Gonzalez of the Rockies is 7/1.

Continuing with the odds, David Wright of the Mets is 15/2 and Allen Craig of the Cardinals is 10/1. Andrew McCutchen of the Pirates is also 10/1 while Buster Posey of the Giants is 12/1 to defend his current MVP title. Carlos Beltran of St. Louis, Carlos Gomez of Milwaukee, and Jean Segura of the Brewers are all 15/1, respectively. Michael Cuddyer of the Rockies has the longest odds at 20/1.

Molina currently leads the National League in batting average with a .341 mark, while Craig is second with a .333 average and Cuddyer is third with a .330 average. Segura, meanwhile, is hitting .325 while Posey is hitting .325 and might be posed for another second half rise after finishing the first half on a tear.

Gonzalez currently leads the NL in home runs with 25 while Goldschmidt has hit the fourth-most home runs with 21 and Beltran has 19 long balls. Goldschmidt does lead the National League with 77 driven in, while Craig has 74 RBI despite only hitting 10 home runs to date.
