Nats bounce back
Washington had a four-game win streak come to an end on Sunday, but the Nationals bounced back on Tuesday night with a solid 8-1 win at Baltimore. The Nats have won nine of their last 11 overall. Washington is 50-43 on the season, 24-23 on the road and 44-43 with the under. Erick Fedde will get the start for the Nationals today. He is 1-1 on the year with a 3.79 ERA.
On Tuesday night, the Nationals were steady with their scoring, putting up runs in six of the nine innings. Juan Soto homered and Matt Adams each finished with two hits, including a home run, and two RBI. Anthony Rendon also drove in a pair of runs for Washington. On the mound, Austin Voth allowed one run over six innings to get his first win of the year. The Washington bullpen then threw three hitless innings.
Orioles on another skid
Baltimore has lost three straight and five of its last six after dropping the series opener to Washington on Tuesday night. Baltimore is 28-66 on the season, 12-35 at home and 46-43 with the over. Aaron Brooks gets the start for the Orioles this evening. He is 2-3 on the year with a 4.75 ERA.
Asher Wojciechowski took the loss for Baltimore on Tuesday, dropping to 0-3 on the year. He gave up just three runs over 5.1 innings, but that was enough. The Baltimore pen gave up another five over 3.2 innings of work. Hanser Alberto drove in the lone Baltimore run on a solo home run while Trey Mancini hit his 20th double of the season.

Prediction:
Washington has won eight of its last nine meetings with Baltimore following Tuesday’s win. You can probably expect more of the same today. Brooks is appearing in just his second game with Baltimore after being acquired from Oakland. He is a relief starter that doesn’t go deep into games and is going to hand the ball over to a terrible bullpen. Fedde also doesn’t have a lot of starters, but works a little deeper into games. His numbers aren’t bad, but he’s not going to dominate the Orioles either. Still, he should do enough to give Washington a lead that it can build upon when the Nats get deeper into the Baltimore bullpen.
MLB Prediction: Washington Nationals -210
