According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the St. Louis Cardinals are the favorite to win the NLCS, as they have 7/2 odds. Other short odds to win are the Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Dodgers, who each have 17/4 odds.

The Braves are the leaders in the NL East at 54-41. Their six-game lead in the division is the largest lead for any team entering the break. Atlanta has been one of the strongest home teams in baseball, as the Braves are 31-15 at home.

The Dodgers are actually in second in the NL West and just 47-47 on the season, but they started the season poorly and have made great progress to get to 47-47. The Dodgers have scored just 360 runs on the year, which is a surprise given all the talent they have in their lineup.
