LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The National League has many contenders, but which team is going to emerge as the winner of the NL pennant at the end of the season?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Los Angeles Dodgers are favored to win the NL, as they have 13/5 odds. Other short odds to win are the St. Louis Cardinals (4/1), the Washington Nationals (4/1) and the San Francisco Giants (11/2).

Los Angeles is 54-43 on the season, which is the best record in the National League. The Dodgers have a 1-game lead in the NL West. Los Angeles has won the NL pennant 21 times, last winning in 1988.

St. Louis is 52-44 overall and currently 1-game back of Milwaukee in the NL Central. The Cardinals have won the National League 19 times and they are the defending league champions.

The Nationals are 51-42 overall, which currently has them tied for first place in the NL East. Washington has never won the National League title.

The Giants have a 52-43 overall record, which puts them 1-game back of the Dodgers in the NL West. The Giants have won the NL pennant 22 times, last winning in 2012.
