According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the American League is favored, as it has odds of -108 to prevail, while the National League has been given odds of -102 to win. The over/under total is listed at 7.5 runs for this game. The game will be played from Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins.

The American League is starting the game with Felix Hernandez on the mound, who brings an 11-2 record and 2.12 ERA with him. Adam Wainwright is getting the start for the National League. He is currently 12-4 on the season and has a 1.83 ERA.
