According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Astros are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -115 to win, while the Rays are getting a money line of +105 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7 runs. Houston is just 4-17 in its last 21 against the Rays and 7-19 in its last 26 road games.
Another featured game has the Kansas City Royals (51-34) hosting the Toronto Blue Jays (45-45) at 2:10PM ET. Kansas City has Edinson Volquez (8-4, 3.40) on the mound to face Felix Doubront (1-0, 2.00) of the Jays. Oddsmakers see this game as even, as both the Royals and Jays are getting odds of -105 to win. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 8.5 runs. Toronto is just 3-7 in its last 10 games while the Royals are 10-2 in Volquez’ last 12 starts.
The final game of note has the Pittsburgh Pirates (52-35) hosting the St. Louis Cardinals (56-32) at 8PM ET. St. Louis has Tim Cooney (0-0, 3.95) on the mound to face Francisco Liriano (5-6, 2.99). Oddsmakers have the Pirates as a -155 favorite to win, while the Cardinals are getting odds of +145 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7 runs. Pittsburgh has won two of three in this weekend series and they are 12-5 in their last 17 Sunday games while the Cardinals are 7-1-1 with the under in their last 9 Sunday games.
