The featured game of the day has the Pittsburgh Pirates (51-35) hosting the St. Louis Cardinals (56-31) at 7:15PM ET. The Cardinals have John Lackey (7-5, 3.09 ERA) on the mound to face A.J. Burnett (7-3, 1.99) of the Pirates. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Pirates are favored at home today, as they are getting odds of -115 to win, while the Cardinals are getting odds of +105 to prevail. The over/under total has been set at 6.5 runs. These two have split the first two games of this series. The Cardinals are just 3-9 in Lackey’s last 12 started while hitting the under in 12 of their last 16 Saturday games.
Another game of note today as the Seattle Mariners (40-47) hosting the Los Angeles Angels (47-39) at 10:10PM ET. The Angels have C.J. Oddsmakers have the Mariners as the favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -110 to win, while the Angels are getting a money line of +100 to win. The over/under total has been set at 7.5 runs. The Angels are just 7-19 in Wilson’s last 26 starts on the road while Seattle has won 7 of its last 10 against Los Angeles when Iwakuma takes the mound.
Another big game today has the Baltimore Orioles (44-42) hosting the Washington Nationals (46-39) at 7:15PM ET. The Nationals have Jordan Zimmerman (7-5, 3.04) on the mound to face Miguel Gonzalez (7-5, 3.87) of the Orioles. Oddsmakers have the Orioles as a -110 favorite to win today, while the Nationals are getting odds of +100 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 8.5 runs. The Nationals are 20-9 in their last 29 Saturday games while the Orioles have hit the under in 6 of their last 8 home games.
