ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cardinals are -130 money line favorites over the Pirates, who are +120 on the ML. The total, meanwhile, is currently sitting at 7.5 runs.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Pirates opened as +125 money line underdogs but their odds have dropped to +120, while the Cardinals’ odds have gone from -135 down to -130. The total opened at 7.5 and that’s exactly where the over/under is sitting.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Brandon Cumpton (3-2, 4.61 ERA) was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis to start for the injured Gerrit Cole, who is sidelined with a tight lat. He’ll oppose Lance Lynn, who is 9-6 on the year with a 3.17 ERA. Pittsburgh enters play with a 47-43 record and is 18-23 on the road this year, while St. Louis is 49-42 overall and 26-19 at home.
