The featured game of the day has the Cleveland Indians hosting the Detroit Tigers at 7PM ET (View Matchup). The Indians have Scott Kazmir taking the mound to face Max Scherzer of the Tigers, who is looking to start his season 14-0. According to oddsmakers at, the Tigers are the favorite to win on the road, as they have odds of -165 to win, while the Indians have been given a money line of +145 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 8.5 runs. Detroit is 48-39 overall and 22-23 on the road while Cleveland is 46-42 overall and 25-17 at home. Detroit had won seven straight over Cleveland before the Indians picked up a win on Sunday. These two have hit the over in five of their last seven meetings.

The other featured game of the day has the Pittsburgh Pirates hosting the Oakland Athletics at 7PM ET (View Matchup). The Athletics have Bartolo Colon taking the mound to face Jeff Locke of the Pirates. According to oddsmakers, the Pirates are the slight favorite at home, as they have odds of -120 to win, while the Athletics have been given a money line of +100. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 7.5 runs. Oakland is 52-37 overall and 24-23 on the road while Pittsburgh is 53-34 overall and 29-15 at home. Oakland has won its last 10 meetings with Pittsburgh, but the Pirates haven’t hosted the Athletics since 2002.
