According to oddsmakers at GTBets, the Royals are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -135 to win, while the Rays are getting a money line of +125 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7.5 runs. The Rays come in just 1-7 in their last 8 while the Royals have won 11 of their last 14 as a favorite. Tampa Bay also comes into this game just 1-8 in their last 9 in Kansas City.
Another featured game today has the Minnesota Twins (43-39) hosting the Baltimore Orioles (43-39) at 8:10PM ET. The Orioles are sending Wei-Yin Chen (4-4, 2.84) to the mound to face Phil Hughes (7-6, 4.27) of the Twins. Oddsmakers like this as an even game, with both teams getting odds of -105 to win tonight. The over/under total for the game has been set at 8 runs. Minnesota is just 3-9 in its last 12 games on a Monday night while Baltimore is 14-6 in its last 20 on Mondays. The Orioles have also hit the under in 10 of Chen’s last 13 road starts.
The final game of note has the San Francisco Giants (42-41) hosting the New York Mets (42-41) at 10:15PM ET. The Giants have Christopher Heston (8-5, 3.78) on the mound to face Jon Niese (3-8, 3.90) of the Mets. Oddsmakers have the Giants as a -155 favorite at home, while the Mets are getting a money line of +140 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7 runs. The Mets are just 2-9 in their last 11 against the Giants and San Francisco comes into the game having hit the over in 8 of its last 10.
