The Orioles will sent right-hander Kevin Gausman to the hill today to oppose Jake Peavy of the Red Sox. Gausman is 3-2 with a 3.86 ERA on the year while Peavy is just 1-7 with a 4.82 ERA as he's struggled for most of the season. This is the fourth time this season that Gausman is being recalled from the minors and the third time in less than a month. He went 3-0 with a 0.95 ERA in a three-start stretch in June before getting touched for five runs in five innings versus the Rays on June 27.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Red Sox are favored at -115 on the money line while the Orioles are +106 underdogs. The total, meanwhile, is currently sitting at 9 runs as the under has covered in four out of the last five games that these two teams have played.

The Sox did open as -125 money line favorites but with 62% of the betting public currently siding with the Orioles, Boston's odds have dropped to -116. Baltimore's odds, meanwhile, went from +115 down to +106.

MLB Free Pick: Take Baltimore. According to latest MLB trends, the Orioles are 5-1 in their last six games overall, 6-1 in their last seven games during Game 3 of a series and 5-1 in their last six versus a team with a losing record. They're also 4-0 in their last four games versus a right-handed starter and 4-1 in their last five after scoring five runs or more in their previous game. On the other side, the Red Sox are just 1-5 in their last six games as a favorite, 1-4 in their last five games as a home favorite and 1-4 in their last five games overall. They're 0-5 in Peavy's last five starts as a favorite, 1-7 in his last eight starts versus a team with a winning record and 0-4 in his last four starts following a quality start in his last appearance.
