The featured game today has two of the top teams in the AL meeting up, as the Detroit Tigers host the Oakland Athletics at 1:08PM ET. Detroit has Justin Verlander (6-7) on the mound to face Jesse Chavez (6-4) of the Athletics. According to oddsmakers at, Detroit is favored to win this game, as it has odds of -130 to prevail, while Oakland has a money line of +120 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 9 runs. Detroit is 46-34 overall and 21-19 at home while Oakland is 51-32 overall and 27-17 on the road. Detroit has won four of six games with Oakland this season, including the first two games in this series.

Another featured game today has the Toronto Blue Jays hosting the Milwaukee Brewers at 1:07PM ET. The Brewers have Wily Peralta (9-5) on the mound to face J.A. Happ (7-4) of the Jays. Oddsmakers have Toronto favored at home, as the Jays have odds of -110 to win this game, while the Brewers have odds of +100 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 9.5 runs. San Francisco is 47-35 overall and 25-21 at home while St. Louis is 44-40 overall and 21-23 on the road. San Francisco has won five of its last six against the Cardinals and the losing team has been shutout in three straight meetings between these two.
