Corey Dickerson helped pace the Pirates offense as he went 4-for-4 with three doubles, three runs and three RBIs. Kevin Newman finished 4-for-6 with a home run and three RBIs. Josh Bell was 1-for-4 with a home run, two walks, three runs scored and two RBIs. Jung Ho Kang ended the contest 2-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs. Jose Osuna finished 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs and three RBIs. Dario Agrazal picked up the win as he gave up one earned run on five hits over six innings, striking out three and walking three. Joe Musgrove draws the start today for Pittsburgh as he enters with a 5-7 record, 4.57 ERA and 1.23 WHIP with 69 strikeouts over 84 2/3 innings.

Houston lost by a count of 14-2 at home Wednesday night to drop to 50-31 overall and 28-12 at home. George Springer helped lead the Astros offense as he went 3-for-4 with a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the first inning which pulled the hosts to within 2-1 at that juncture. Jose Altuve was 1-for-4 and scored a run. Alex Bregman finished 1-for-3 with a double and a walk. Framber Valdez suffered the loss as he surrendered six earned runs on eight hits with two strikeouts and one walk over three innings of work. MLB Betting Trends
Pittsburgh
The Pirates are 5-1 in their last six games overall. Pittsburgh is 26-9 in its last 35 interleague games.
Houston
The Astros are 22-10 in the last 32 Peacock starts. Houston is 1-5 in its last six interleague games.
Prediction:
Musgrove can be a very unpredictable pitcher, but when he is on he can shut down anyone. Pittsburgh came into this series hot, while Houston had just snapped a seven-game losing skid Sunday. I’m going to take a shot on the big underdogs here as their offense came to play Wednesday night and there are some left-handed bats here that can get to Peacock.
