2014 MLB betting odds baseball pitching matchups

LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) - Several series wrap up today around Major League Baseball and with that, let's look at some of the key matchups.

The action starts today when the Brewers host the Nationals at 2:10PM ET. Stephen Strasburg will take on Marco Estrada as Washington is a -130 money line favorite and Milwaukee is a +120 home underdog according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI. The Nationals are 6-1 in their last seven games in Milwaukee and 5-1 in their last six games overall versus the Brewers.

The Cardinals and Rockies will also play this afternoon when rookie Marco Gonzales makes his big league debut for St. Louis. Despite starting the rook, the Cards are -110 money line road favorites over the Rockies, who are +102 money line underdogs. St. Louis is 18-8 in its last 26 games versus Colorado.

The Tigers remain red-hot after beating the Rangers last night for their fifth consecutive victory. They'll send Anibal Sanchez to the hill tonight against Joe Saunders at 8:05PM ET. Detroit is a whopping -150 money line road favorite over Texas, which is +138 on the money line. The over is 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams and 16-7-2 in the last 25 meetings in Texas.

Detroit isn't the only team on a five-game winning streak, as Seattle has racked up five consecutive victories as well. The Mariners will host the Red Sox tonight at 10:10PM ET as a -145 money line home favorite with Hisashi Iwakuma on the mound. Boston, which is a +134 money line road dog, will pitch Clay Buchholz.
