Sunday's MLB Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) - Here's a look at today's odds and pitching matchups in Major League Baseball.
The hottest team in baseball right now is the Oakland A's, who have five straight games and eight of their last 10. They'll send Tommy Milone to the mound today against the Boston Red Sox and Jon Lester. According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the A's are -109 money line favorites over the Sox, who are +101 money line road underdogs. The under is 6-0 in the last six meetings between these two teams in Oakland and 9-0 in the last nine meetings overall.
On the opposite side of the A's are the Colorado Rockies, who followed up a five-game winning streak with a five-game losing skid. They'll host the Milwaukee Brewers today at 4:10PM ET as a +115 money line home underdog. Tyler Matzek will take the hill versus Kyle Lohse of the Brewers, who are -125 money line favorites in this game. The over is 12-3-1 in the last 16 meetings between these two teams and 18-7-1 in the last 26 meetings in Colorado.
The ESPN "Sunday Night Baseball" crew is in Los Angeles tonight for a matchup of AL West rivals. The Angels host the Rangers at 8:07PM ET when Yu Darvish takes the hill versus Matt Shoemaker. Texas is a -120 money line favorite with Darvish on the hill, while the Angels are +111 money line underdogs. Darvish is 5-0 in his last five starts against the Angels and 5-0 in his last five road starts versus L.A.
A couple of other American League teams on a current hot streak are the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins, who have both won three-straight games. The Tigers are once again in Cleveland today at 1:05PM ET as a -118 money line favorite with Max Scherzer on the hill, while the Twins are -148 money line favorites over the White Sox, who are +136 underdogs. John Danks will take on Phil Hughes in that matchup.
