Tigers vs. Royals Pick
Can the Kansas City Royals put another beatdown on the Detroit Tigers when they finish their weekend series today at 2:15PM ET?
The Tigers have Jordan Zimmerman on the mound today to face Chris Young of the Royals. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Detroit is the slight favorite on the road, as the Tigers are getting odds of -115 to win, while the Royals have odds of +105 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 9 runs.
Detroit is 34-34 overall, 17-21 on the road and 40-24-4 with the over. Kansas City is 37-31 overall, 24-8 at home and 34-30-4 with the under. Detroit took the series opener on Thursday 10-4, but KC has responded with wins of 10-3 and 16-5 since. The Royals have won five of their last seven against the Tigers and the two have hit the over in eight of their last 10 encounters.

On paper, Zimmerman seems to be the right guy to stop the bleeding for Detroit, but his numbers are holding up due to his great start to 2016. In his last three outings, Zimmerman has a 6.75 ERA. That won’t hold up against a surging KC lineup. While Young hasn’t been much for the Royals to count on, he should be able to work with plenty of run support.
