Lincecum, Giants face Braves
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (The Spread) – The Giants will send “The Freak” to the mound on Saturday night to take on the Braves at 10:05PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are -158 money line favorites over the Braves, who are +146 money line underdogs for tonight’s game. Atlanta will counter with Williams Perez when it faces San Francisco’s Tim Lincecum.
The Giants are 4-1 in Lincecum’s last five starts and 7-1 in his last eight starts as a home favorite. They’re also 5-0 in his last five home starts when facing a team with a losing record and 4-0 in his last four starts as a favorite of between -151 and -200 odds.
Lincecum gave up four runs in five innings in last start, which came on Monday in Milwaukee. All of the damage was done on the long ball, as the Brewers hit three home runs off Lincecum, who had allowed just one dinger in 47 2/3 innings heading into the game. He’ll bring a 5-2 record and a 2.56 ERA into tonight’s game versus the Braves.
