Teheran couldn’t bail out his defense after Jace Peterson’s error with one out in the second, but he was strong over the rest of the outing, giving up just two hits over the other five innings. Nolasco was punished for five runs in six innings and took a loss to the Rays on Wednesday. He surrendered seven hits and three left the yard. He gave up a two-run shot to Steven Souza Jr. in the second inning. Colby Rasmus and Souza both hit solo dingers in the seventh. Nolasco falls to 2-4 with a 4.37 ERA in 10 starts. He has given up 16 longballs in just 57 2/3 innings.
