Godley surrendered three runs on eight hits over seven innings in Sunday’s loss to the Padres. All three runs on Godley’s line scored in the fifth inning, but he was otherwise able to keep his team in the ballgame. He struck out one and walked one on the afternoon. Through four starts covering 25 2/3 innings, the 27-year-old right-hander has posted a crisp 2.45 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 20/10 K/BB ratio.
Latest on Guerra via Rotoworld: Guerra (calf) told reporters that he is preparing to start Friday against the Diamondbacks. Guerra allowed nine runs — five earned — on 17 hits and five walks over 11 1/3 innings on his two-game minor league rehab assignment between Double-A Biloxi and Triple-A Colorado Springs. He was very good for the Brewers in 2016, but the jury is still out on what kind of long-term major league starter he can be. Guerra strained his right calf on Opening Day this season and has been on the disabled list since.
Bet Tonight’s Diamondbacks vs. Brewers Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Diamondbacks have won four straight games, are 7-0 in their last seven games versus a right-handed starter, and are 5-0 in their last five games when playing the second game of a series. The Brewers, meanwhile, are winless at 0-4 in their last four games overall. They’re also 2-5 in Guerra’s last seven home starts and have dropped 71 of their last 99 games versus a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15.
