Will Brewers complete sweep of Braves?
Milwaukee hasn’t enjoyed the satisfaction of a series sweep since 2015. Leave it to Atlanta to make such a feat attainable again.
The Brewers and Braves battle in tonight’s series finale at Turner Field, with a 7:10 p.m. ET first pitch in the Peach State. Handicappers at online sports book BetDSI list Brian Snitker’s club as a 1.5-run favorite, while the visitors receive odds of +116 to pull the slight upset. The over/under run total stands at eight.
Fourth-place Milwaukee (20-26) captured the first two games of the set thanks to timely hitting and exemplary work on the hill. Wily Peralta (2-5, 6.99 ERA) aims to continue the latter trend this evening. Road outings have been particularly rough on the righty, though, as he’s 0-5 with a 5.35 ERA in his past eight away from Miller Park.
Peralta’s counterpart, Matt Wiser (2-3, 2.93), consistently gets some of the worst run support in the majors. He’s 2-1 with a 1.80 ERA in four May outings. Most recently, the Ohio native permitted one run and struck out a season-high seven in a 7-1 win at Philadelphia.

If the Brewers had swung the sticks with more authority on Tuesday and Wednesday, we’d feel compelled to give them the benefit of the doubt here. As long as Wisler stays away from shortstop Jonathan Villar (.344 average over the last two weeks), however, Craig Counsell’s group seems unlikely to generate much offense again. Count on Atlanta (12-33) to make matters very interesting in a few hours.
