From Rotoworld: Nolasco allowed three earned runs, five hits and four walks over six innings in a quality start and no-decision against the Tigers on Saturday. The team’s Opening Day starter threw 59 of his 100 pitches for a quality start, his first time this season with back-to-back quality starts. He has racked up 20 strikeouts over 17 1/3 innings in three May outings. The strikeouts have been nice, but he has also served up six homers during the span. He remains a useful fantasy option in AL-only and deeper mixed formats for his high strikeout rate.
deGrom racked up seven strikeouts over six-plus innings of four-run ball in a no-decision against the Brewers on Sunday. The right-hander allowed eight hits and one walk in the contest. A two-run homer by Keon Broxton in the sixth inning provided the bulk of the damage against deGrom. He left with a 7-4 lead and in line for his third victory of the season, but the Mets’ bullpen was unable to protect it for him. He’ll carry a 4.07 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 67/20 K/BB ratio into tonight.
