From Rotoworld: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Hill (blister) will return tonight against the Giants. Hill dominated in a rehab start for High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday night, yielding three walks over five hitless innings. Blisters have hampered Hill since midway through last season and it’s anyone’s guess when or if the issue will resurface. The Dodgers cleared a spot for Hill in the rotation by sending Kenta Maeda (hamstring) to the 10-day DL .
Blach surrendered two runs on five hits over seven innings while taking a no-decision in Thursday’s loss to the Reds. No win for Blach, but he pitched well all the same. Especially when considering that he allowed 10 runs to these same Reds in his previous start. This time around, the 26-year-old southpaw was victimized only by an RBI ground out from Joey Votto in the fourth inning and RBI single from Votto in the sixth. Blach struck out two and walked one on the evening. He will bring a 4.88 ERA and 1.23 WHIP (27 2/3 innings) into his home start tonight.
