From Rotoworld: Sabathia lost to the Reds after giving up five runs in six innings on Tuesday. Sabathia has been the Yankees’ weakest link lately, surrendering 22 runs over 19 2/3 innings in his last four starts. Still, the Yankees have won two of those anyway, and they’re 5-2 when he pitches this year. He’s not getting replaced.
Hammel was pummeled for seven runs — six earned — in seven innings and was charged with a loss to the Rays on Wednesday. He gave up a whopping 13 base hits, including home runs to Logan Morrison and Rickie Weeks. He struck out six and issued one free pass in the meltdown. His record falls to 1-4 with a 5.97 ERA. It won’t be easy to turn things around tonight against a Yankees squad that can bomb.
Bet Tonight’s Yankees vs. Royals Game

The Royals are also just 1-6 in Hammel’s last seven starts and have dropped four of his last five outings following a team loss in their previous game.
