ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cubs are -119 money line favorites over the White Sox, who are +110 on the ML. The total, meanwhile, is currently sitting at 6.5 runs. The Sox enter play with a 15-17 record and a 6-10 on the road, while the Cubs are 11-18 overall and 7-9 at home.

LINE MOVEMENT: The White Sox opened as +108 money line underdogs but their odds have jumped to +110, while the Cubs’ odds opened at -117 and have jumped to -119. The total, meanwhile, opened at 6.5 runs and that’s where it currently sits.

PUBLIC BETTING: Jose Quintana will toe the rubber for the White Sox sporting a 1-2 record with a 4.00 ERA, while Jeff Samardzija takes the hill for the Cubs with his 0-3 record and 1.98 ERA.

MLB FREE PICK: Take the White Sox. According to latest MLB trends, the White Sox are 6-1 in their last seven Monday games, 5-1 in Quintana’s last six road starts versus a team with a losing record and 4-1 in his last five starts versus a team with a losing record. The Cubs, meanwhile, are just 1-4 in their last five versus a team with a losing record, 1-5 in Samaradzija’s last six starts as a home favorite and 1-9 in his last 10 starts overall. For whatever reason, the Cubs have really struggled when Samardzija takes the hill, even though he’s given them plenty of chances to win. Look for the Sox to continue that trend tonight.
