Pirates vs. Marlins Prediction
Can the Pirates win their fourth straight game when they visit the Marlins at 1:10PM ET this afternoon?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Pirates are -130 money line favorites to beat the Marlins, who have odds of +110 to pull off the upset today at home. With Chad Kuhl set to face Tom Koehler in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8.5 runs, down from the original number of 8.

John Jaso hit his first home run of the season on Saturday against the Marlins. He has just five hits in 39 at bats so the home run was much-needed. That said, unless he starts hitting consistently, the Pirates might be forced to find better options.
Dan Straily allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings of work on Saturday in a loss to the Pirates. He cruised through five innings while allowing a lone run, then ran into trouble in the sixth. Straily allowed four hits and struck out five in the loss to run his record to 1-2 with a 4.15 ERA and 1.12 WHIP.
Bet Tonight’s Pirates vs. Marlins Game
OUR PREDICTION: Kuhl now owns a 6.63 ERA but that number is inflated due to a horribe outing last Monday against the Cubs. He was lit up for nine earned runs over 1 2/3 innings, while walking four walks and eight hits before getting pulled in the second. That said, his ERA stood at 2.60 before that outing, so I’m betting he pitches better today against a Marlins offense that isn’t as dangerous as Chicago.
