Game closed to public due to Riots
BALTIMORE, MD (The Spread) – In what will likely be an eerie scene at Oriole Park today, the White Sox and Orioles game at 2:05PM ET will be closed to the public.
Due to violent protests and riots in Baltimore, the first two games of this three-game series between the White Sox and Orioles have been postponed and today’s game will have no fans in the seats. The game has been closed to the public and in addition, the weekend’s series between the Orioles and Rays has been moved to Tampa Bay.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Orioles are -120 money line favorites over the White Sox, who are +100 money line underdogs. Chicago ace Jeff Samardzija (1-1, 3.33 ERA) will take the hill against Baltimore’s Ubaldo Jimenez (1-1, 2.30 ERA).
The White Sox are 2-6 in their last eight games in Baltimore and are winless at 0-4 in their last four games overall versus the Orioles. The under is also 13-3-2 in the last 18 games between these two teams and 6-1-1 in the last eight meetings in Baltimore.
