Blue Jays vs. Cardinals Prediction
Rain is threatening in St. Louis but if tonight’s Blue Jays and Cardinals game goes on as planed, is Toronto a good underdog bet?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cardinals are -190 money line favorites versus the Blue Jays, who have odds of +170 to pull off the upset in St. Louis. Mat Latos is set to face Carlos Martinez in the pitching matchup and with that, the total sits at 8 runs.

BLUE JAYS KEY TRENDS: The Blue Jays have won five of their last seven games versus the National League Central and are 7-3 in their last 10 interleague games. That said, they’re also 4-9 in their last 13 road games and have dropped 18 of their last 25 games overall despite winning last night.
CARDINALS KEY TRENDS: The Cardinals have won six of their last eight games but are just 5-16 in their last 21 interleague games. They’re also 1-10 in their last 11 interleague home games, are 0-4 in their last four games versus American League East opponents, and are 1-6 in their last seven games against AL opponents with a losing record.
Bet Tonight’s Blue Jays vs. Cardinals Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Blue Jays are 4-0 in their last four games in St. Louis and have won six of their last eight games overall versus the Cardinals. Even if Latos doesn’t pitch well tonight, the Blue Jays are worth a flier against a St. Louis team that is horrible on the base paths and even worse defensively (as baseball observers saw again last night). Plus, Martinez has not looked like the same guy that opened the series by dominating the Cubs. He has struggled mightily in the first inning over his last three starts and if the Jays can jump on him early, they could produce a huge upset tonight for bettors.
