Mets vs. Marlins Prediction
Following an extra innings marathon last night, will the Mets top the Marlins tonight at 7:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Mets are -145 money line favorites to beat the Marlins, who have odds of +125 to pull off the upset. With Noah Syndergaard set to face Edinson Volquez in the pitching matchup, the over/under sits at 7 runs for tonight’s game.

Through two starts in 2017, Syndergaard owns a 0.69 ERA and a 0.80 WHIP in 13 innings of work. He allowed just two runs (one earned) on five hits while walking none and striking out nine in seven innings against the Marlins last Sunday. The Mets won that game 5-2
The Marlins actually haven’t announced who tonight’s starter will be, but Volquez makes sense. He would be pitching on four days of rest but that might be a better option than Adam Conley, who threw 19 pitches while allowing the game-winning run to the Mets last night in the 16th inning. Volquez is 0-1 with a 3.27 ERA in 11 innings this season. He gave up five runs (four earned) on seven hits in six innings last Sunday when pitching against the Mets in New York.
Bet Tonight’s Mets vs. Marlins Game
OUR PICK: Syndergaard owns a 3-0 ERA and a 1.67 ERA to go along with 38 strikeouts in 27 innings against the Marlins in his career. With both teams playing 16 innings last night, it’s imperative that the starters go deep into tonight’s game. If you’re rolling the dice on which starter will accomplish that feat and which one will falter, who you taking? I’ll take Thor.
