Tigers looking for 6-0 start
CLEVELAND, OH (TheSpread) – The Detroit Tigers are looking to start the 2015 MLB Season 6-0 today when they face the Cleveland Indians at 1:10PM ET.
Detroit is 5-0 on the season and 2-0 on the road while Cleveland is 2-3 overall and 0-2 at home. The Indians have T.J. House taking the mound to face Kyle Lobstein of the Tigers. Both pitchers are making their season debut in today’s game. Detroit has won the first two games in this series, taking an 8-4 victory on Friday and then following that up with a 9-6 win on Saturday.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Cleveland is the slight favorite at home in this game, as the Indians are getting odds of -115 to win, while the Tigers have been given odds of -105 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 8.5 runs.
The Tigers have had Cleveland’s number for some time, winning nine of the last 10 meeting. Lobstein actually took the mound against Cleveland last season and pitched five innings in a 5-4 victory. Detroit has been hot with the bats, as they are averaging 9.1 runs per game thus far while batting .387 as a team. Cleveland is hitting just .270 as a team while averaging only 3.51 runs per nine innings.
