Los Angeles Dodgers Fantasy Spin
Cody Bellinger singled, doubled and drew a walk as the Dodgers fell to the Cardinals on Tuesday. It was a rebound of sorts after he had his first hitless night of the season Monday. Bellinger didn’t drive in or score any runs, though, so it still qualifies as an off night for fantasy’s top player this season. The Dodgers out-hit the Cardinals 7-6 in this one but were shut out 4-0.
St. Louis Cardinals Fantasy Spin
Paul Goldschmidt popped a solo home run and scored a couple runs Tuesday versus the Dodgers. Goldschmidt actually hasn’t done a whole lot this season outside of his one monster game when he went deep three times, as he entered this game in a 3-for-29 funk at the plate. He is up to six home runs on the year now, though, after hitting just seven taters in the first two months of last season.
MLB Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Dodgers are 7-3 in Kenta Maeda’s last 10 starts versus the National League Central.
St. Louis
The Cardinals have won five of their last seven games following a slow start.
Prediction:
Jack Flaherty is a stud in the making and is viewed as the Cardinals’ ace in waiting. That said, St. Louis is also 1-7 in Flaherty’s last eight starts and is 1-5 in his last six outings when he faces an opponent with a winning record. I don’t expect the Dodgers to go on too many losing streaks, so they’re a good value play tonight at only -110 on the moneyline.
The Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers -110
